THE desire of a man in Florida to 'make friends' and record a moment with a star tiger turned horrible when he was attacked by the wild beast in an incident in the city of Davie, Florida, USA on August 31.
Citing a CNN report , tiger star owner Michael Poggi, 54, reportedly arranged an 'appointment' so that victim Dwight Turner, 50, could play, rub his stomach and take pictures with the carnivorous animal.
The victim is also said to have paid US $ 150 (about RM620) for the friendly session.
However, unfortunately did not smell when the session turned into an accident after the animal acted to pounce and bite the man's head and ears.
As soon as Poggi opened the star tiger cage, Turner came in and sat on the bench.
"The animal roared and attacked Turner causing head and ear injuries," according to the Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Institute of Fish and Wildlife Research (FWC).
Turner suffered injuries to the right side of his head and ears.
"The victim's wife informed that she had to give some skin to patch the marks on her husband's head and ears," added the FWC.
Following that, the FWC said the star tiger owner was subjected to two legal actions for revealing contact with the animal and keeping wildlife in captivity.
When questioned, Poggi realized that his actions were wrong.
