IZMIR: A three-year-old girl was found in the rubble of a building on Tuesday, after four days of strong earthquakes hit Izmir province in western Turkey recently.
The Turkish Ministry of Health informed that the girl who was found alive was identified as Ayda Gezgin.
The discovery was recorded a day after another three-year-old girl and a 14-year-old teenager were found in the same rubble.
Ayda was reportedly trapped in the rubble for 91 hours since the disaster hit the Aegean Sea last Friday.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the quake was reported to have risen to 102 victims after the rescue team resumed search and rescue operations.
Meanwhile, more than 1,000 victims were reported injured in Izmir.
For the record, a magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck the Aegean Sea outside the Seferihisar district of Izmir on Friday.
Turkey also reported more than 1,464 aftershocks following the disaster, including 44 on four Richter scales.
After dozens of damaged buildings and the risk of recurrent earthquakes, thousands of residents in Izmir had to take refuge and sleep in tents.
