BETHESDA: US President Donald Trump is seen willing to leave the hospital simply to wave to his supporters who have been waiting for him outside the hospital since he received treatment for being positive for COVID-19.
Trump was seen wearing a dark face mask, riding in an SUV with his security guards out of the Walter Reed Army hospital and waving at the crowd.
It is understood Trump's actions were merely for a photo session.
What Trump did was a negative reaction from several parties, including Walter Reed Physician Dr James Phillips, who said it was dangerous for Trump to have close contact with anyone at this time and all Trump escorts had to do a 14-day quarantine because of the photo session.
U.S. Presidential Election Historian Michael Beschloss, meanwhile, described Trump's actions as a threat to all security guards.
The president's presence came shortly after he promised a 'surprise' to his supporters in a video posted on social media.
In the video, Trump said he learned a lot from his COVID-19 diagnosis.
