The owner of the 'voice' Doraemon Tomita Kosei has died

THE real owner of the 'voice' of the Doraemon animated series, Tomita Kosei died of paralysis.
The 84-year-old Kosei's departure on September 27 was confirmed by his management agency.
The late contributed his voice to the children's series in 1973.
Kosei's voice was subsequently replaced by actor Masako Nozawa which caused a stir among Doraemon fans.
At the same time, the deceased also lent his voice to high-profile animated series such as Astro Boy and Detective Conan.
His voice is also used in Hollywood movies namely Kung Fu Panda and While You Were Sleeping specifically for Japanese public viewing.
In 2009, Kosei received the Success Award at the Third Seiyu Awards Ceremony, a ceremony that recognizes voice acting talent in Japan.
