SINGER famous for her Umbrella song, Rihanna was heavily criticized on social media after being accused of being insensitive to Islam.
This is due to the fact that the international star used a hadith quote to accompany the fashion show in her brand, Savage x Fenty, last October 2.
The virtual fashion show featured the action of a model wearing underwear dancing with the musical background.
The music is a song entitled Doom created by Coucou Chloe which uses the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW about the Day of Judgment.
A Twitter user, @kooohobi said, using hadith in any form and manner is not polite.
"Rihanna's actions are too extreme, after taking pictures in front of the mosque. Seriously? She really did not learn to respect religion?" he wrote.
Another Twitter user, @ LookingForR9 cynically mocked the actions of Chris Brown's ex-lover.
"Rihanna made a mistake but it is not Islamophobia. Rihanna should be responsible but it is not Islamophobi," she wrote.
Meanwhile, another social media user, @nelirv questioned the artist's use of Islam in their artwork.
"Rihanna is looking for an article by using a song with a hadith in a lingerie show. Please have a respectful attitude," he wrote.
