Last tribute to Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee

SEOUL: The late Chairman of Samsung Electronics, Lee Kun-hee was given the last tribute on Monday morning.
Kun-hee's funeral was attended by company leaders and politicians.
Former South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon, including a group of Democratic Party leaders, was also present to thank Kun-hee for his contribution and described the success of the late as a source of pride for the country.
Kun-hee, 78, died Sunday morning at the side of his family including his only son who is also Samsung De Facto Chief, Lee Jae-yong.
Kun-hee has been hospitalized since 2014 when he suffered a heart attack.
Under Kun-hee's leadership, Samsung rose to become the world's largest smartphone and memory chip manufacturer and the firm's overall turnover equals one-fifth of South Korea's Gross National Product.
Samsung's rise helped make Kun-hee the richest man in South Korea and the most powerful industrialist.
