FRIEND Jamal Khashoggi filed a civil suit against the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia on charges of ordering the murder of the Washington Post columnist.
Hatice Cengiz filed the suit in Washington DC, USA.
In the suit, Cengiz, a Turkish national, claimed losses and injuries over Khashoggi's death.
He claimed Khashoggi was killed on the orders of Prince Mohammed Salman.
Lawyers representing Cengiz informed that a suit was filed to seek defense in Khashoggi's murder.
They also want to get documents that will reveal the truth behind the murder.
Khashoggi was assassinated by a Saudi Arabian agent while visiting a consulate building in Istanbul, Turkey in 2018.
Khashoggi is among the permanent critics of the Saudi Arabian government and lives in exile in the US.
Prince Mohammed Salman, however, denied any involvement in Khashoggi's murder case.
