Spain head coach Luis Enrique remains impressed with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as he prepares to face the Portuguese star.
La Roja will travel to Lisbon this week to face Portugal early tomorrow morning in the first meeting since the 2018 World Cup group stage action.
Ronaldo scored a hat-trick, including a free kick at the end of the game for a 3-3 draw with Spain in Sochi.
Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, before sided with Messi in the debate over the world's best player, described the Blaugrana's number 10 player in every position and the best player in history.
However, he also admired the way Juventus striker Ronaldo continued to pursue success when he was 35 years old and has played for 18 years as a senior player.
"Our target has not changed from facing very highly motivated players," he said.
"As a team, we will try to do our best against Portugal and try to present problems, that is our target.
"What is to be admired is that players like Cristiano and Leo Messi still remain at their best even though they have reached the age of 33 and 35 respectively. They are the best examples."
