DEESIDE: Not only humans and animals, now food products also have a mission to 'explore' space.
The United Kingdom food supplier, Iceland Foods, sent their chicken nuggets into space as a way to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Through the video shared, the nugget reached an altitude of more than 110,000 feet (33,528 meters) from Earth.
It takes less than two hours to reach that height.
One of their most popular products, the nugget began its journey from the company's headquarters in Deeside, Wales, and traveled by 60 degrees Celsius below freezing to the stratosphere.
A team of experts in the field of stratosphere exploration uses meteorological weather balloons filled with hydrogen to fly the nugget into space.
Iceland Foods is working with Sent Into Space, a team of experts in stratosphere exploration, for the project.
After reaching peak heights, it then heads back to Earth at a speed of 322 kilometers per hour, before successfully landing safely in a mountainous area.
“2020 is an important but difficult year for us, and we want to celebrate our birthdays in the most memorable way.
"The message we want to convey to customers is that our products are exceptional," the company said in a statement.
