OHIO: Democratic candidate Joe Biden accuses US President Donald Trump of not acting 'wisely' in dealing with the COVID-19 issue in the country.
He said that although Trump knew COVID-19 was a killer virus, he did not take drastic measures, including giving an early warning to the public for fear of panic.
"He (Trump) is waiting and waiting. He still has no plans. He knows how serious the crisis has been since February.
About 200,000 deaths have been reported in the US with more than seven million people affected so far.
"More than 40,000 new cases are being recorded every day. What are you doing?"
Fox News attorney Chris Wallace acts as an intermediary for programs broadcast without ads on every major television network in the U.S. and around the world.
Meanwhile, Biden stressed that Trump should provide financial assistance to the public in helping the economic sector instead of acting otherwise by closing the business and school sectors.
Answering the question, Trump explained that if he listened to the 'candidate' of the presidential candidate, the US is likely to face up to millions of casualties.
"You may not be able to do what I did," he added.
Trump later slammed the issue of Influenza A (H1N1) virus when Biden became US Vice President who was seen as failing to handle the situation well.
"I know how to carry out the task. At that time the death toll was only 40,000 people not 200,000 people, Mr. President," said Biden.
