DEFINITELY the average football fan has heard the story of an octopus known as Paul who became popular after accurately predicting the results including the 2010 World Cup football final in South Africa.
But have you ever heard or seen the action of a goldfish that can play football?
Apparently the myth that says that a goldfish only has a memory for seven seconds is not true!
It can be seen when a group of goldfish pet a man in China is able to remember the various 'tricks' taught by the master of the fish.
Goldfish owner Yang Tianxin, in a video published by the South China Morning Post , said he was so interested in the sport of football that he was willing to turn his fish aquarium into a 'stadium'.
“I have kept these fish since I was a child. Once these fish are familiar and familiar to us, these fish will play with whatever object is given.
"I train them slowly by giving them food as a reward every time these fish 'score a goal'," said Yang.
The public knows it is not something that is easy to teach humans, let alone train animals.
The one who defended the hundreds of goldfish of the Ranchu breed admitted to having difficulty training the fish at first.
"At first, it was very difficult to train them because this breed is not very smart.
“So I need a long time to teach them.
"At that time, he was really bored. They will lose interest if I do not give them food, ”he explained.
However, as the saying goes, 'reeds squeeze the sour, let it reach the base of the arm', thanks to his hard work and attitude of refusing to give up, his five fish finally managed to 'score' after being 'trained' for three months.
"Impossible! The ball is controlled by a magnet ”
Many are impressed with goldfish that are good at 'dribbling' and making deliveries.
However, there are also those who dispute the authenticity of the talents of the fish and wonder if the ball is controlled by a magnet.
"Look at the ball more closely, the ball is always spinning.
"If it is controlled by a magnet, it will move straight.
"You can know based on the movement of the ball," he explained.
Who kept the desire to have a 'football match'
It became Yang's dream to divide his pet fish according to color so that they could meet in the 'football field' he built.
"I intend to form two teams, the red team and the black team and let these fish compete.
"I hope many more can find out about this goldfish and be able to release stress from daily work," he said
