OVER 4,000 deaths due to COVID-19 infection worldwide were recorded within 24 hours.
This makes the cumulative number of global deaths due to COVID-19 now reaching 900,239.
Johns Hopkins University statistics show that the United States remains the highest number of deaths due to COVID-19 with 190,763 cases.
This was followed by Brazil with 127,464 deaths.
India and Mexico recorded COVID-19 casualties of 73,890 and 68,484 cases respectively.
Also recorded the highest number of casualties was the United Kingdom with 41,683 cases.
Meanwhile, Italy, France and Peru recorded 35,577, 30,800 and 30,123 cases respectively.
Spain recorded 29,628 deaths, Iran 22,669 and Colombia 21,817.
Other countries still record casualties below 20,000 cases.
