BARCELONA sold striker Luis Suarez to LaLiga rival Atletico Madrid for € 6 million (RM29.2j) depending on several conditions, Blaugrana confirmed.
The 33-year-old is in the final year of his contract at the Camp Nou and faces an uncertain future since the end of last season.
Yesterday, Atletico agreed to release Alvaro Morata to Juventus on loan thus paving the way for Suarez to be listed in Diego Simeone's squad.
16 goals in 22 games recorded by Suarez last season are his lowest goals since arriving from Liverpool in 2014.
The Uruguayan international has had a glorious career as he has won four league titles including the Champions League (UCL) in a collection of 13 trophies he has won over six seasons with Barca.
His best year came in 2015-16 which saw him score 59 goals in all competitions - a higher number when forming the 'MSN' pairing alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar.
The striker was initially expected to leave Barca for free before the Catalan giants changed their minds when charging fees based on a number of conditions.
Suarez, who will hold a press conference today in conjunction with his farewell, is ranked third in the list of top scorers of all time for Barcelona - behind Lionel Messi and Cesar who have scored 198 goals in addition to 97 assists in 283 games.

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) student Tjon was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics after divers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force, responding to a call at 8.50am, found his body about 2m from the shore.
