A woman kills her boyfriend on Valentine's Day for the sake of marrying her biological father

CHARLESTON: A woman who was willing to kill her boyfriend in order to marry her biological father was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Fox 23 portal reported that the court sentenced Amanda Michelle Naylor McClure, 32, after pleading guilty to abetting her father, Larry McClure, 56, of killing John Thomas McGuire, 38, on Valentine's Day last year in Skygusty, West Virginia.

His father was sentenced to life in prison while his sister, Anna Marie Choudhary, 33, who was charged with the same charge, is still on trial.

Amanda Michelle, who was sentenced through a video conference, apologized to John McGuire's mother, Karen Smith, who attended the online court ruling.

"I see myself every day. My family did not raise me like this. I not only disappointed John's family, but my family as well," he said as soon as the verdict was read by the judge.

It was followed by an apology from adoptive parents Amanda Michelle, Allen and Gwen Holm.

"I want to apologize on our behalf. I can't imagine the pain Smith was doing," they said.

Earlier, in her confession, Amanda Michelle said, on February 14, 2019, she deliberately 'set a trap' so that the victim came to her house before torturing her for two days while giving methamphetamine.

After being killed, the victim's body was buried in the backyard.

Amanda Michelle also admitted that she dug out the body of her ex-boyfriend after six days from the date of the murder and shredded the body as well as put acidic liquid to speed up the decay process.

After the murder, the two children were married in a church but the father used the name of another man in their marriage documents.
