Giant publishing company Warner Bros. has unveiled the first trailer of The Batman film at a virtual convention for superhero brand DC Entertainment on Saturday.
The two-minute trailer that features Robert Pattinson's debut as Batman's main character, among others, shows how Batman and his friend James Gordon (played by Jeffrey Wright) solved a criminal case in the city of Gotham.
More interesting to the audience later is the question mark that follows every time Batman receives a mysterious letter from an individual suspected of committing a crime in the city.
Featuring the song Something in the Way by the group Nirvana, the trailer garnered 7 million views in just less than 24 hours, and has so far recorded over 16 million views.
Its director, Matt Reeves has previously revealed that the latest film will see how Bruce Wayne's early life before becoming Batman.
The film The Batman will be released on June 25, 2021 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will be released simultaneously on October 1, 2021.

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) student Tjon was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics after divers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force, responding to a call at 8.50am, found his body about 2m from the shore.
